Doug has over 10 years of experience in the field of fine art and design. Prior to returning to school to pursue a degree in Product Design, he taught as an Adjunct Professor of Ceramics at SUNY New Paltz, Marymount Manhattan College and Long Island University. In addition to being an educator, Doug started a ceramic production studio and had a line of products for sale on Gilt.com. His work has been featured in House Beautiful, Core 77, Yanko Design, 18h39, Trendhunter, Tabi Labo, La Revue Du Design and he completed commissioned work for Kulvase and Carol Egan Interiors.

Doug received a BFA in Ceramics from Alfred University, a MFA in Ceramics from SUNY New Paltz and a MFA in the Products of Design program at the School of Visual Arts.
